The TV Ears Speaker lets you listen to your television's audio close-by so you won’t need to turn up the volume as much. Because the speaker’s volume operates independently of the television, it enables the user to turn the television’s volume down or completely off.

Voice Clarifying Circuitry

The proprietary “Voice Clarifying Circuitry” found in every TV Ears product manipulates the high frequency sounds just like a hearing aid so that hard-to-hear words and whispers “jump out” making television dialog easier to understand.

Installation is Very Easy

The TV Ears Speaker does not need an amplifier, control console, or complicated installation. The TV Ears transmitter plugs into your television, cable box, or satellite box's audio-out ports and sends audio via Infrared light to the speaker up to 50' away.

If you choose to place the speaker near your television then we suggest that you plug it directly into your television’s audio out ports located on the back of your television using the 6 foot audio cord. If you attach the 30 foot extender cord to the 6 foot audio cord you can place the speaker up to 36 feet away in a different room or outside on the patio.

The TV Ears Speaker low-profile design will fit on a shelf near your television or on a side table near your couch and provides 90Hz-18,000Hz frequency response for full sound and up to 90dB of volume to accommodate any hearing loss requirement.

Need More Amplification and Clarity?

For those times that you need even more amplification and voice clarification or want to listen to television without anyone else hearing simply plug any standard headset into the headset jack conveniently located on the front of the speaker.

iPod and Music Players

The speaker also works well with iPods, computers, radios, CD players, game consoles or anything with audio output ports or use the enclosed 3 foot music cord to plug any of these audio devices into the jack located on the front of the speaker.

Please note that audio out ports can be set to “fixed” or “variable” by selecting the option in your television’s audio menu. If you select “fixed audio out” then the TV Ears Speaker volume will not change when you change your television’s volume. Fixed audio out is a good option when you want to “mute” your television volume and adjust the volume of the TV Ears speaker by using the volume dial on the front of the speaker. If you select “variable audio out” then the TV Ears Speaker volume will change as you change your television’s volume. Variable audio out is a good option if you want to adjust the TV Ears Speaker’s volume using your television’s remote control.

Please note the TV Ears transmitter plugs into an analog audio out port, a feature found on most television sets. Typically this is a pair of “RCA” phono jacks labeled AUDIO OUT (L & R). Please ensure that either your television, cable box or satellite box has a pair of audio outputs for connecting the TV Ears transmitter. If your television does not have analog audio out ports then you may want to purchase the TV Ear DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) which will allow you to use your television’s digital audio out port.
